Pentaho Business Analytics provides all the functionality of a BI suite. Its ETL engine (Pentaho Data Integration) exposes a rich collection of connectors including those allowing easy integration of Big Data technologies.
The multivariate analysis is based on the Mondrian OLAP engine and is returned either via the interface Analyzer or using the plugin Saiku powered by Analytics.est (with Mondrian OLAP engine and interface Analyzer or Saiku Analytics plugin) .
The reporting engine (also report design tool) is Pentaho Report Designer. It allows the Ad hoc and reporting on demand by the user's subscription. The platform embeds popular plugins BIRT reports and JasperReport. According to the Enterprise and Community versions, users can design dashboards with the Dashboard Designer or CTOOLS. Finally Weka data mining and enables advanced data analysis.
